Salt Lake City should be kept together. This splits neighbors and school districts. We have so much division in our country and state right now. We need a map that unites communities - not split it into 4.
Martin Shupe
This map fails to keep Salt Lake County, the most populous county in our state with 34% of the entire state population as a single community of interest. This map goes against allowing a single group to choose its own representative. The power of the citizenry is diluted with any division of this county.
Brian Bosworth
One of the worst maps here. Salt Lake County should not be split into more than two districts, let alone four. Urban citizens, suburban citizens, and rural citizens each have their own unique transportation needs, jobs, socio-economic opportunities, lifestyles, etc. They each deserve the chance to elect a representative that reflects that. County splits like this will also create logistical nightmares in running elections and managing counties.
Gavin Thomas
Ridiculous map - how does anyone represent urban and rural simultaneously?
Julienne Bailey
Just say you're trying to gerrymander and go.
Adam Fortuna
Blatant gerrymandering that splits up SLC needlessly into 4 districts. The lines within SLC make it look like they decided on all of the republican districts firsts knowing they could just dip into SLC to fill out the population requirement of each district.
Robert Dood
This is an atrocious gerrymnander: an obvious attempt to crack Salt Lake and keep Stewart and Owens in power, both of whom flagrantly ignore their urban constituents. Utah is 90% urban.

Whether intentional or not, this map dilutes the SL Co. community of interest to the maximum extent.
ELLEN BRADY
Wow. Nice job of splitting Salt Lake County into four pieces again. Not ok. We are a community of interest with needs and views that differ substantially from the rest of the state. Not to speak of the fact that SLCo is the most populous county. It deserves an undiluted voice.
Stuart Hepworth
Cracking Salt Lake County four different ways is a gerrymander and a non-starter.
