No! Gerrymandering
Martin Shupe
This map fails to keep Salt Lake County, the most populous county in our state with 34% of the entire state population as a single community of interest. This map goes against allowing a single group to choose its own representative. The power of the citizenry is diluted with any division of this county.
Michael Harris
This is a deliberate attempt to once again, gerrymander the map.
Amanda Roos
Brady Brammer's bill is a bad-faith attempt to muddy the waters surrounding the purpose of Prop 4: to end gerrymandering. Maps like this, which pass his partisan bias test, show that the test does not prevent egregious gerrymandering. Shame on our legislature for using public money to fight the public.
Jason Hoggan
It lives up to its name - it's a spectacular gerrymander!
Kathleen Millar
This map would be more like communities if District 4 stopped in Salt Lake County along the East side of I-15/ Jordan River and if District 2 followed the West side of the I-15/ Jordan River divide line.
Cheryl Dickerson
This clearly does not follow the guidelines of Prop. 4.
Charles Cameron Bigler
Any map that significantly breaks up SL County is clearly disingenuous at best.
Melissa Purcell
When I first saw this map, my first immediate thought was "what a terrible gerrymander that is!" Well done sir.
