I like that this map keeps urban and rural areas separate. They have different needs, and representation needs to match constituents.

This map fails to keep Salt Lake County, the most populous county in our state with 34% of the entire state population as a single community of interest. This map goes against allowing a single group to choose its own representative. The power of the citizenry is diluted with any division of this county.

Provo and Orem have much more in common than Sandy and Santaquin.
Michelle Mourtgos
Putting a boundary between Orem and Provo does not make sense. Why not move Provo to District 3 and move Eagle Mountain, Payson, and Santaquin to District 4? Other than that, this map seems to do a good job of keeping communities together.

This one does a fair job of keeping cities and like neighborhoods intact and simple

I believe this this districting map keeps cities and communities reasonably intact and provides a fair opportunity for all of Utah's citizens to determine representation that serves the unique needs of those cities and communities.
This conversation and the solution that gets advanced should not be about winning and power, but rather it should focus on fair representation of all of our states citizens.
Mike Christensen
No counties are split between districts expect for Salt Lake County and Utah County. Within Salt Lake and Utah Counties, no cities are split between districts except for West Jordan being split along 9000 South.
