This map fails to keep Salt Lake County, the most populous county in our state with 34% of the entire state population as a single community of interest. This map goes against allowing a single group to choose its own representative. The power of the citizenry is diluted with any division of this county.

The basic plan behind this map is workable but the execution has problems. You have to pay attention to the transportation links; you can't travel from Tooele city to the rest of your district 3 without leaving the district, or from Daggett county to Summit. Don't tunnel vision on the layer cake; it's okay to use it as a template but you have to deviate where it doesn't make sense. Counties like Tooele, Summit, Uintah, Duchesne should have been kept whole.
