As a resident of Sandy, this is the best map for representing me as a voter. I like the way Salt Lake County is divided up to allow for communities of interest to stay intact.

This map fails to keep Salt Lake County, the most populous county in our state with 34% of the entire state population as a single community of interest. This map goes against allowing a single group to choose its own representative. The power of the citizenry is diluted with any division of this county.

Dividing Washington County this was doesn't make sense. St. George and Washington are so similar. St George is also very different than South Jordan, yet South Jordan itself is split in half. The needs of South Jordan's Eastern residents are much more similar to it's western residents than to vernal. Totally doesn't make sense.

No map is going to be perfect, but I think this does a decent job in keeping the neighborhoods together. Yeah, some urban and rural areas are going to be combined, but it we are only allowed 4 ways to split it, this isn't an atrocious mess.

I don't love the way this breaks up Salt Lake County.

@Katie Newburn This is literally a map submitted by the independent commission.

This map is a clear power grab by the GOP. It’s partisan gerrymander to keep Utah’s urban population from having a say in our representatives. 90.6% of Utah’s population lives in urban areas, we deserve at least one, if not more, urban districts. Please adopt a map created by UIRC. The people voted for prop 4. The legislature needs to honor that.
