My only issue with this map is that it slices off 1/4 of Orem to a different district - was that necessary for population? Why not carve Vineyard instead as a single town? Other than that, it looks great to me - certainly better than what the legislature is proposing.

This map fails to keep Salt Lake County, the most populous county in our state with 34% of the entire state population as a single community of interest. This map goes against allowing a single group to choose its own representative. The power of the citizenry is diluted with any division of this county.

This is a much better map and divides population areas into similar concerns, community types with regard to industry and population density, and evens out the populations in each district. It allows those in all areas to have representation that will be able to more fairly and clearly address their particular needs and interests.
Spencer Thompson
There will be different competing needs for one representative to cover.

This map keeps salt lake together which makes sense rather than the atrocious partisan cracking that has happened before.
